Paul Miller, Founder

I have been in the TV industry and particularly TV Commercials all my working life.

Paul Miller
Founder

As the Founder my main function is to support the leadership team however I can to deliver our core values; supporting productions, helping the planet and looking after our people.

I started at a small model making firm based in Lambeth Walk back in the early 90’s. From there I became a Propsmaster for the next twenty years or so, working on over 1000 TVCs and a fair few  music videos. I even did a short film with the late Tony Scott which was highlight.

Next I had a short stint directing and produced some stop frame animation work, which I really loved doing.

Around the same time I set up GSH and that quickly became my full time job, until the last couple of years, where I have managed to hand over the day to day running of the company to the fab leadership team.

A film I could watch over and over is

Groundhog Day, I could watch that again and again and…

What is your favourite shoot you have ever worked on?

My favourite jobs were definitely the music videos, although they were by far the hardest work and the longest hours, they were usually the most creative and exciting.

I worked with George Michael, Kylie, Robbie Williams, and many other big names at the time. It’s hard to pick a favourite, but working on a White Stripes video with the great director Michel Gondry, I loved seeing how he worked and how focused he was on his vision and ideas.

Why do you think it’s important that GSH focus on sustainability?

Sustainability has to be more than a tick-box—it needs to shape how we think, work, and live. When we bring that mindset into our businesses, homes, and communities, real, lasting change becomes possible.
